A guide written for all cities and municipalities in Flanders, ordered by the Flemish governemnt (Agentschap Binnenlands Bestuur).


Starting from 11 policy questions like: how many accidents are occurring in my community? How can I detect cut-through traffic? What is the effect of traffic calming & circulation measures? What is the modal split of inhabitants and visitors? How much is shared mobility used?


For each of these policy questions, we have interviewed the most experienced experts in the country and delivered a detailed description of how the policy question can be answered by using data. The insights provided delve into the intricacies of data collection, shedding light on the methodologies employed, potential pitfalls to be aware of, and the most effective measurement techniques for gathering such data.
