Will we soon also be paying to park our bicycle? In any case, there will be a Flemish pilot project in that direction next year. The aim is to solve the problem of overcrowded bicycle parking facilities, for example by making people pay if their bicycle is left standing for more than 24 hours. Certainly at the stations of central cities, the best seats are sometimes occupied for weeks.
Betalen we binnenkort ook om onze fiets te mogen parkeren? Er komt volgend jaar in elk geval een Vlaams proefproject in die richting. Bedoeling is om het probleem van de overvolle fietsenstallingen op te lossen, bijvoorbeeld door mensen te laten betalen als hun fiets langer dan 24 uur blijft staan. Zeker bij de stations van centrumsteden zijn de beste plaatsen soms wekenlang bezet.
