SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION

National Bike register - Pieter Morlion worked on a mission as and advisor / project manager for the Belgian Minister of Transport & Mobility to set up a national bicycle register against bike theft.
www.elektricityasaservice.com - we formulated a proposal to create a unified energy / electricity subscription, which will solve a lot of current issues and make energy consumption more transparant (2021 - present). 'mind your own business' - we proposed this radical new model for spatial planning to spark imagination and move the discussion on mobility & land use to a next level (2020 - present). innovation of the church - we tried to imagine to most un-innovatable thing of all times and ended up with the catholic church. We have developed some ideas, put up a spontaneous application in the larges catholic newspaper as an ad (which was denied for being to innovative) and engaged in a conversation with the diocese of Ghent on innovation (2020 - present). www.24uzone.be - we investigated practices in bicycle parking in Flanders and our surrounding regions and came up with an innovative concept based on automatic detection of bicycles through RFID technology (2020 - present). www.manyways.be - we applied dashboard technologies to mobility data and cross-referenced interesting datasets in order for the broad public to get insights in what data is collected and what is happening on roads in Brussels and Antwerp (2018 - 2019). www.trafficmanagementasaservice.com - we developed a concept to virtualise traffic management and offer it as the 'Spotify of mobility'. MORE LION holds patents BE1024546B1 and NL2019693B1 for the Traffic Management as a Service (TMaaS) concept (2016 - present). |
