At the Civitas Froum Conferece in Umea (Sweden), the City of Gent received the prestigious Bold Measure award for the Traffic Management as a Service project.
The 'Traffic Management as a Service' concept was patented by More Lion in 2016 and turned into a project by Pieter Morlion (at the time working at the City of Ghent) in 2017. The €3.4 million Project was approved by the Urban Innovative Actions (EU) and started at the beginning of 2018.
Now the project has been awarded the prestigious Bold Measure award at the Civitas Forum Conference, where experts and city officials from all over the world gather to find solutions for improved multimodality in urban environments. The TMaaS project is led by the City of Ghent, in a partnership with Ghent University, Mintlab (Leuven University), TomTom, Waylay, Be-Mobile, European Passangers' Federation and De Staatse Ruiter. In 3 years time, the consortium will build a working TMaaS prototype for the city of Ghent and 3 other cities. The entire crew of More Lion wants to congratulate the #TMaaS team at the city of Ghent and Pieter Morlion will keep on supporting the project as a member of the advisory board. Comments are closed.
